Meeting Recorder

Record a meeting playing in another browser tab, plus your own microphone, into one file. No bot joins the call, nothing is uploaded, no sign-up.

Before you press record

1. Choose the browser tab that is playing the meeting.

2. Keep “Share with tab audio” ticked. If it is off, the recording is silent.

3. Leave this tab open. Closing the meeting tab ends the capture.

Wear headphones. Without them the microphone re-records the meeting from your speakers, and the recording plays every voice twice.

Ready

The bar shows the level once recording starts.

The meeting audio plays from your speakers, so the microphone picks it up again unless you wear headphones. Turning it off records the meeting only.

Nothing is uploaded. The audio is mixed and encoded inside this tab. Why Chrome asks to share a screen

Why Use Submind's Meeting Recorder?

Record a browser meeting and your own voice into one file, without a bot joining the call.

No Bot Joins

Nothing enters the meeting. The tab is captured from your side of the browser, so other participants never see a recorder appear.

Meeting and Microphone

The call audio and your microphone are mixed into a single track, so both sides of the conversation end up in the file.

Private, On-Device

Mixing and encoding happen inside the tab. No upload, no account, and no copy on a server.

No Sign-Up Needed

Press record and go. No account creation, no email collection, no watermarks, no meeting limit.

How to Record a Meeting in 3 Steps

Two tabs, one file, no bot. Works with Meet, Zoom on the web, Teams on the web, and any tab that plays sound.

Open the Meeting in a Browser Tab

Join from the browser rather than the desktop app. Only a browser tab can be captured, and the tab has to stay open until you stop.

Pick the Tab and Keep Tab Audio On

Press Start recording, choose the meeting tab in the Chrome picker, and leave “Share with tab audio” ticked. Unticked records video with no sound.

Stop and Download

Press stop to get a WebM file. Convert it to MP3 with the Audio Converter, or send it to the transcriber to turn the meeting into text.

What People Record

Any meeting or talk that plays in a browser tab, captured without asking anyone to install anything.

Team Meetings

Keep a personal copy of a call for notes you did not have time to write during it.

Webinars and Demos

Capture a product demo or a paid webinar that only plays once, then revisit the audio later.

Online Lectures

Record a lecture streamed in a browser tab and transcribe it into study notes afterwards.

Remote Interviews

Record a research or job interview from the browser, with your own questions included.

Level Up Your Workflow

Turn your audio into notes with Submind AI

Frequently Asked Questions

What this recorder can and cannot do, in plain terms.

No. Nothing joins the call and no participant is notified. The tool records the sound of a browser tab from your own machine, so the other side sees an ordinary participant.
