Mute is the smallest job in this tool and the fastest. Drop the video, choose Mute, and export. There is no audio file to add and no timing to set.
The audio track is removed from the container. The video stream is copied packet by packet, so the picture is not touched by an encoder. That is different from turning the volume down, which leaves the track inside the file.
The result is an MP4 that plays silently everywhere. Use it for a clip with a noisy room, a copyrighted song, or a screen recording whose sound you do not need.
Need the other two modes? They live in the main Add Audio to Video tool.
Mute Video Questions
Formats, quality and what happens to the file.No. The audio track is dropped and the video packets are copied. Resolution, bitrate, frame rate and colour stay exactly as they were.
